The company's existence got noticed in mid nineties with its maiden offering named . The was a structured attempt first ever made by any company to promote machine tools & engineering industry by building a common platform on which buyers & sellers can interact & better understand their mutual business needs.
India ranks 19th in production and 16th in consumption of machine tools. While exports have been on rise; imports too have seen phenomenal growth. In just a short span since 2004-05 to 2006-07, the imports have grown from INR 18,000 million to INR 28,000 million. With more and more multi nationals setting up their production units in India, the sector is all set to witness an exponential growth. |
